On the afternoon of April 18, 2025, a delegation group of faculty and students from Zhejiang University’s Chu Kochen Honors College paid a friendly and meaningful visit to Hangzhou Phlexing Technology Co., Ltd. 

At first, representatives from Phlexing Technology warmly welcomed the delegation and embraced them with a tour of the company. In the tour, Phlexings development history, core products, and innovative achievements were presented with details, offering the students a basic understanding of the company’s exponential growth and its contributions to the China’s domestic EDA industry. 

Dr. He Qing, Chairman and founder of Phlexing Technology and an alumnus of the Chu Kochen Honors College, presented a keynote speech during the discussion session with the theme “Knowledge Growth and Entrepreneurial Practice.” Inspired by his college learning experience and entrepreneurial practice, Dr. He shared insights on learning approaches, career planning, and developments of the IC industry. He encouraged students to strive for a solid academic foundation and keep the spirit of innovations. In the discussion panel, Dr. He offered his lessons on topics including “building interdisciplinary thinking” and “seizing opportunities in this ever-changing era.” 

Dr. Runjie Zhang, an R&D director at Phlexing, also participated in the discussion panels. With years of research experience, Dr Zhang shared his perspectives on the “technology trends in the IC industry” and “career paths for IC researchers.” His fruitful replies addressed students’ questions about academic and professional development. 

This visit built a bridge between academia and industry, and is a practical integration of education and industrial development. The progress of China’s “chip” industry relies on more and more young and aspiring students dedicating their expertise and innovative spirit to the nation’s technological breakthroughs.  “Igniting and empowering a smarter Future with Chips, ” we look forward to more outstanding students joining Phlexing on this evolutionary journey !
